I read a post over on The New Perfect this morning talking about Hollee’s Year of Living Happily (Ever After). She asked the question what is 2011 going to be for you/me. Now, don’t get me wrong, for me this isn’t about a resolution and frankly it didn’t start with January 1st. But 2011 is going to be an amazing year for me – I know it! It is going to be my year of fitness. I decided late last fall that I was going to compete in at least one triathlon this year and I’m working slowly towards that goal.In fact yesterday was supposed to be my first 5k, but sadly I am a klutz and I tripped on my stairs Thursday and badly sprained my big toe. I could barely walk, let alone run. Yet already today I am ready to at least hop on my bike trainer and log some kilometres. Might need a few more days before I run, but I am determined not to let it totally impede my training plans.
2011 will be a lot of things for me I hope, not just a year of fitness. I am working on my university classes (almost done English 255!) and of course continuing to grow my virtual legal assistant business. But I will be honest, it won’t be a year with much blogging in it, lol. I like my blog and won’t stop altogether, especially as I hope to occasionally log training and race reports on it. But I firmly believe nobody can keep up with too many things – something always has to give. Training will take 1-2 hours most days, work takes up 3-5 hours most days, and hour or two for schoolwork and there are of course the three boys, a handsome husband and friends to spend time with – doesn’t leave much time for blogging.
Well, on that note I think I better cut this short and get back to my exciting essay on logical fallacies – scintillating stuff right?! Then off for that bike ride!
Cheers to an amazing 2011 for us all!
