Okay, first half-marathon is done so my “finish it” goal is met! I’ve got a couple more halfs in the works for this summer/fall, but my biggest goal for this summer season is to LOSE some weight. For realz this time, lol.
I’ve been seeing Jess’s FB posts about working together to lose weight this summer and tonight I finally decided to jump on board and get myself to a better weight by joining in the Lose a Marathon Challenge. I need to lose that belly especially. Sigh. In the spirit of honesty I’m sharing a pic here that shows exactly why I need to do this.
And I’m admitting my starting weight, even though it’s not a requirement of the challenge. 155. Doesn’t sound bad if you are tall, but I’m 5’2”, which means I’m easily 30 pounds heavier than ideal for my height. If I lose the marathon amount, I’ll be happy.
