Races in Alberta - Always a Work in Progress!
I have had trouble at times finding a good listing of races in Alberta (running races in particular as triathlon races are generally listed at Triathlon Alberta) so I decided to try and track 2012 running races and triathlons or duathlons available in Alberta. The Running Room often has information, although not always as much in advance as I’d hope.
*Note Feb 18/2013: My tracking for 2012 was spotty at best. I want to keep trying to track races, especially ones that are likely to be annual events. I’m going to just list each in the month they are usually held, with links to the actual races if possible. Note that the exact dates should then be in the links. Also I’m separating out the obstacle/unique runs for anyone who is just looking for something like that (I’m already registered for my first mud run this summer!)

Sanctioned triathlons in Alberta can easily be found at the Triathlon Alberta website, so just hit the link for those! I know that there are occasionally more informal triathlons put on in smaller centers, and I think that would be fun to “tri” this year – will post any I find. Some links may be to previous years’ events, will try to update when possible!
