Sprint Here I Come

It’s Friday. I have one workout left before my Sprint Triathlon on Sunday – wow!! Can’t really believe it’s so close now. (Just like I can’t believe I haven’t posted on this poor blog in months – I claim
laziness busy as my excuse). I have been working hard to train for this triathlon – it’s an open water swim (750m), 20k bike and 5k run. Individually I’m getting better at each thing, although my bike split times are pretty slow (ok, everything is a little slow lol) but altogether the race is going to be a real challenge.
Cheer me on Sunday will you?!! I’ll be the one panting at the back of the pack – my pink face will match my pink top, lol. And my three crazy boys and my wonderful husband will be nearby cheering me on as well. Then we’re getting ice cream. That counts as recovery food right?!
I’ve got a vague plan to take a couple of rest days after the race and then it’s on to Half Marathon training. My goal race, assuming we can make it work to take a weekend away in Kelowna, is the Okanagan Half Marathon. I’m trying to get a few friends to join me, but I’m going to be ready to go regardless of who participates!
