The Clock Is Winding Down
Tick Tock. Tick Tock. Today is Day 7 of NaBloPoMo and despite all of yesterday’s feelings of inspiration, today the day is getting away from me and this is the best I can do at a blog post. I don’t blame you if you don’t read it or skip through! Whatever little I manage to type away here before giving up and going back to my television show (I’m watching Reign – and quite liking it so far!)
Do you ever think about how some people seem to manage their days so well, they have time for everything? I usually feel the opposite at the end of the day. Like I had time for nothing. Well, actually I always have time for the important stuff, just not all in one day. Today was successful for work, but I didn’t get dressed until after 3. On Saturday I shall watch a soccer game, coach a soccer practice, take an 11 year old to a birthday party and hang out at a friend’s house. Very successful, but there is work that I will totally be ignoring that day. It’s my vague take on “balance”.
And every day, around this time, I realize how quickly the clock winds down. And how quickly the days and months and years are passing. Will they just keep speeding up forever or does there come a day they slow down again? I’m not sure I really want to know the answer to that question – it might depress me either way!
Good night friends – hope you got lots done during your day. And if you are magically getting “everything” done tell me your secrets please 🙂
